Connect Winnipeg was a space for creative individuals in Winnipeg to come together, learn, and, as you probably guessed, connect.

What started as a school project, turned into something very special. Networking can be scary, especially when just starting out your career. That is where the Creators Conference came in.

The Creators Conference brought together communications students and professionals. With interactive booths, music, a guest speaker panel and more, professionals and students came together for only one night and gained knowledge and experiences they could carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Leading up to the Creators Conference, I met with and interviewed several creative entrepreneurs and business owners in Winnipeg. My co-planner and I wrote their stories and shared them with our audience. Our Instagram account was one of our largest marketing tactics, where we posted curated educational content and reached over 1000 followers in just under five months. 

A lot of multi-tasking, running around, designing, planning, crunching numbers, and long nights goes in to planing an event. I created a communications strategy and plan, wrote and designed sponsorship packages, pitch emails, marketing materials, event program, signage, and so much more.
